Cost: LUD is growing and so is the cost of hosting the event. For that reason, this year we are asking for a $25 contribution. Clients of community providers and students can attend for free. Meals: Lunch on May 7th, and breakfast & lunch on May 8th are included with the registration fee.
What to expect: The final agenda is forthcoming, but in the meantime, take a peak at what's coming.
- May 7th: Join us for a series of community "diálogos" to learn from advocacy partners and other groups about their legislative priorities, what bills are they working on, how will they benefit our community, and how we can support them in their advocacy efforts.
- May 8th: The day will start with our traditional Illinois Latino Caucus panel breakfast. This is a great opportunity to learn about the legislative priorities of our Latino legislators. Head out to the Capitol with our partners to meet with your legislators and elevate the issues that you believe will positively impact the lives of our community members. And be back on time for our luncheon with a keynote speaker and special guests. The afternoon is free to encourage legislative visits. And LUD will end with the always fantastic reception hosted by the IL Latino Legislative Caucus Foundation.
