The 2024 Lanark County Seedy Saturday was such a huge success, we have decided to do it again in 2025. Mark the date.
Join us as we kick off the 2025 gardening season in style. This event includes guest speakers, movies, workshops, lectures, a master gardener advice table, seed libraries, seed swap table, horticultural societies, seed vendors, nurseries, compost suppliers, and so much more! You will walk out feeling prepared, empowered and passionate about the upcoming gardening season. Hope you can make it.
All door proceeds go to support the Lanark County Interval house, a shelter for women and children fleeing domestic abuse. Last year we raised over $1700.

Movie: In my Backyard
In My Backyard Chronicles director Jamie Day Fleck’s personal journey into urban agriculture, converting her entire backyard into a kitchen garden. Using her personal story as a jumping-off point, she branches out to look at the various solutions that backyard gardeners and urban growers have dreamed up and implemented in her city — Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
By looking at the stories of individuals that are changing their communities through local food production, it becomes evident that positive changes are being implemented and solutions are available. To many people global environmental problems seem insurmountable but a few people are working diligently to create new paradigms and show bright possibilities within urban spaces.
