The Northeast Ohio Musical Heritage Association once again will partner with WRUW-FM, to bring you the 2025 Lake Erie Folk Festival on Saturday, February 15th, at Thwing Center on the CWRU Campus. For the past eight years, the Lake Erie Folk Festival has been a cornerstone of Northeast Ohio's traditional music community. The festival has drawn visitors from five counties and three states to Greater Cleveland in the otherwise dark days of February, a bright spot in the cultural calendar and an important anchor in growing and sharing the riches of the region's traditional music scene.
Plans for this year’s festival include all the free daytime workshops, performances and the incredible jam sessions that have made the event so popular. The “Ohio Track,” will be back and even better this year, as well as a new program track curated by faculty and students of CWRU. There will be music for all ages; young musicians are welcome!
This year's headliner's include award-winning Irish folk artist David Howley, of "We Banjo 3" fame; and the super-deluxe fiddle, banjo, and song of Showman and Coole, the Lonesome Ace String Band, and more! The evening concert will be packed with local, regional and national talent!
