Kwanzaa is more than just a holiday—it’s a powerful affirmation of Black identity, community, and culture.Join us for a community meeting at the Harriet Tubman Cultural Center and share how YOU would like to see Howard County celebrate African and African American culture and honor the Nguzo Saba (Seven Principles) during our 2025 Kwanzaa Celebration. Led by the principle of Kujichagulia (Self-Determination), come together in community to dream what Kwanzaa can and should be in Howard County.
ALL AGES WELCOME. Light refreshments will be served.
If you are interested in helping the County plan this year’s celebration, consider joining the Kwanzaa Planning Committee. The committee will meet between Thursday, October 23rd and Saturday, December 27th and will be responsible for bringing this year's celebration to life. To sign-up or to learn more about the Kwanzaa Planning Committee, contact OHRE at 410-313-6430 or email [email protected].
