Kawartha Farmfest is an annual one-day, self-guided driving tour of farms and rural attractions in Kawartha Lakes. Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day of farm and food experiences!
The twenty-third annual Kawartha Farmfest will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025 ( one week before Thanksgiving). One low price for admission - Adults are $5 and Kids under 14 are free. Many sites have additional activities such as corn mazes or apple-picking available at an additional charge.

F1: Applefest at Holliday's Farm Fresh Vegetables
Have you ever picked your own apples? It is a great activity available at an additional cost. Visit our small apple orchard and farm store. For those who want to pick-your-own apples, you can pay the additional fee for the basket of apples you pick. Varieties include McIntosh, Empire, Spartan and Liberty. Various sizes available. We also have ready-picked apples, jams and maple syrup available for purchase.

Location: 1641 Glenarm Rd., Woodville. From Highway 35, just north of Fenelon Falls, take Glenarm Road westward approximately 7.5 km to Holliday's Farm Fresh Vegetables on the north side of the road.

F2: Sheepfest at Crow Hill Farm
Visit our registered Corriedale Sheep flock, a dual purpose breed for both meat and wool. Children can collect fresh eggs from our hen house. Watch a wool spinning demonstration, and try your hand at Drop Spindle Spinning in a hands-on experience. Frozen lamb, honey, maple products and eggs for sale from our farm gate stand. Also available for purchase are Corriedale Handspinning Fleeces. Property is accessible.
Location: 35 Ranchers Road, Cameron. From Highway 121 at Highway 35 go south on Ranchers Road, or from Hwy 35 go east on Long Beach Road, then north on Ranchers Road.

F3: Dairyfest at Thursthill Farm
Visit an active working dairy farm with robots that do the cow milking. The Thurston’s have a large family farm with crop fields growing corn, hay and soybeans in addition to Holstein cows and calves. You will see the dairy cow herd in their comfortable free-stall barn. See the cows using the self-serve robotic milking machine throughout the day. The calf barn will also be open to see the young calves. The children will have a chance to meet “Maple” for a hands-on milking experience! Learn about dairy farming, producing milk and eating healthy dairy products.

F4: Mazefest at McQuaid's Country Market
Join us for a fun-filled day at our 9-acre corn maze ($)! Get lost in the twists and turns of the maze, enjoy a variety of family-friendly games, and capture memorable moments at our many photo ops scattered in the area. Learn how a pumpkin grows! Take a wagon ride ($) down to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Participate in our selfie scavenger hunt, then visit our market stand, which features over 50 varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds. You won’t want to miss out on our homemade baked goods, jams, jellies, relishes and salsas, as well as our farm-raised beef and eggs. Also available in our farm shop will be honey, maple syrup, fudge and fresh cheese curds from other local producers.
Location: 346 Peace Road, Omemee. Turn north from Hwy 7 onto Peace Rd at Reaboro. At the four way stop proceed straight through, going east for 3km. The farm will be on the right side. Coming from Omemee, go north on Sturgeon Rd until you get to a four way stop at Peace Rd. Turn left and go west for nearly 3km. The farm will be on the left side.

F5: Veggiefest at Lunar Rhythm Garden
Tour the 15 acre Pro-Cert certified organic vegetable farm dedicated to growing 75 varieties of vegetables in the field and with high tunnels and greenhouses. Cultivation is powered by four heavy draft horses. Visit the cows and calves, pigs, miniature horses and chickens. Visitors can see the cold storage, greenhouses and vegetable wash station. Guided tours of the farm will be available. Visit Farm Star Petting zoo (by donation) to sit with bunnies, groom miniature horses, and lead the goats. Fresh organic produce, meat, honey and apples will be available for purchase.

F6: Maplefest at The Roost Farm
The Roost Farm is celebrating all things maple this year. We are eager to welcome visitors to the farm to learn about the maple experience, taste some golden sweet treats and take in the breathtaking fall colours on the farm. Visitors can explore and engage in educational and fun maple making demonstrations, as well as others that tie in some of the other activities on our farm (wool darning and spinning!) Explore The Roost Farm – a 5th generation maple farm that has sheep, chickens, turkeys and Christmas trees. Gather under the event tent for music and entertainment, displays, games and activities for all, then hop on the tractor-pulled wagon for a tour around the farm. There will be food and drink available ($). Guests are welcome to check out our 1-year-old farm market and café.

F7: Pumpkinfest at Stellmar Farm
Come and celebrate our 23rd year of Pumpkinfest. See giant pumpkins and visit the craft shed at Stellmar Farm, which features: pumpkins, squash, gourds, fall decorations, flower arrangements, decorative corn, wreaths, fall crafts, gourd art, preserves, honey, and tasty pumpkin bread. Try your luck at guessing the weight of the giant pumpkin to win a gift basket. Perhaps even learn the secret behind growing giant pumpkins! Try out our full line of homemade soaps, body butters, and lotions: many products contain our own beeswax and honey! As a Farmfest participant you can take advantage of our family discounted haunted corn maze - for $8 per person or $32 per family of 4 or more. Kids can get their face painted and try their hand at the fun games around the farm. Check out the local vendors selling their products. And finally bring your appetite for our hot dog lunch special.
