The VFW Silver State Post 3396 every year with generous donations from the community award 5 VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System Nursing Students with a $1,000.00 Scholarship. The VA Nursing Student Scholarship was the invasion of Veterans of Foreign Wars and Military Order of the Cooties member Jerry Lazzari. We host a dinner every fall to honor the commitment of these upcoming Nursing Students in our Community.
