The John Dawson Music Fund is an incredible initiative dedicated to nurturing and fostering the musical talents of children aged 8 to 18 residing within Durham Region. This fund provides crucial support for young musicians by enabling them to either purchase an instrument or receive music lessons, a luxury that their families might otherwise be unable to afford. Whether a child is just beginning their musical journey or looking to deepen their existing skills, the John Dawson Music Fund strives to ensure that financial limitations do not hinder their artistic growth and passion for music.
To benefit from the John Dawson Music Fund, children must reside and attend school in Durham Region. The application process is collaborative, requiring the involvement of the child, their parent(s), and school teacher. Together, they fill out the application to highlight the child's interest and commitment to music.
