The Iredell Garden Fair will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Iredell Extension Center. With over 50 vendors, attendees can explore a diverse selection of plants for sale, along with garden equipment, accessories, lawn and garden supplies, yard art, and more.For those looking to expand their gardening knowledge, the event offers educational sessions. At 10:00 a.m., Nancy Gasperi, an ISA Certified Arborist and expert in tree care, will present "Trees and Soil: Getting to the Root of Tree Health." At 11:30 a.m., Melinda Roberts, Iredell Extension Agent in Horticulture-Agriculture, will discuss "Incorporating Medicinal Herbs Into Your Landscape." Additionally, Extension Master Gardener volunteers will lead mini sessions in the demonstration garden, where attendees can bring their plant-related questions.
The fair also features fun activities for children, door prizes, and food available for purchase. Guests can buy tickets for a chance to win a garden-themed raffle basket, with proceeds benefiting community gardening education.
Organized by the NC Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Iredell County, the event is free and open to the public.
