Time for another endurance race!Spring Ice Breaker 240
Event rules
On March 22nd we will be holding a 4-hour Tamiya TT02 endurance race on the indoor
on-road track. The race will be limited to a total of 10 teams. Teams must be made up of
a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 drivers. One of the team members must be
marshalling at all times. Each team will have a designated spot on the driver’s stand
and a specified marshalling location.
We will have a concours for the best-looking car and the winning team will start the race
in the first position as well as make the first pick for drivers stand spot. Concourse
bodies must be the body used for the race.
The remaining drivers stand spots, starting positions, and marshalling locations will be
determined by a random draw. Teams will pick their spot on the drivers stand in the
order of the random draw then we will reverse the order to pick marshalling spots.
Pit stops for battery changes must take place in the designated area and return to the
track on pit lane. Cars that leave the track for repairs must return to the track from pit
lane.
Car rules:
One car per team.
Tamiya TT02 is the only legal kit. No TT02R, TT02S or TT02SRX
Battery: Maximum 2s 7.4/7.6v LiPo batteries with a maximum charged voltage of 8.44v.
No charging as LiHV. Batteries must fit in the stock location and be secured with the
stock battery strap, no modifying the chassis or mounts to fit a larger battery. The
battery post may be spaced up to accommodate batteries up to 26mm thick. The battery
strap may only be secured with body clips.
Motor: Holmes Hobby 27t 540 motors will be used as a handout motor. Motors will be
randomly picked and handed out on the day of the race. Motors will be prewired with
Tamiya bullet connectors.

ESC: any brushed ESC may be used. ESC’s must have the female Tamiya motor bullet
connector on them. Any battery connector may be used.
Tires: Gravity belted USGT tires pre-mounted on the grey 6 spoke wheels only.
Body: Tamiya bodies only. Must be an example of a real car, bodies like the Raikiri are not legal.
The body may not drag the ground. Body posts must be trimmed with a maximum of 2
mounting holes above the body when mounted race ready. The body edges and body
posts must be rounded with no sharp edges.
Minimum chassis height 6mm
Gearing: Stock 70 tooth spur and a 25-tooth pinion.
Differentials must be free spinning, no locked or oil filled diff’s. With the car off the
ground spinning a tire by hand must spin the opposing tire the opposite direction without
spinning the motor over.
Cars must be built to kit instructions, no modifying the chassis and parts.
Legal option parts:
Bearings
Tamiya plastic bodied Mini or Super Mini CVA shocks with any oil. Only the chrome 6 or
7 coil springs that come with the car kit are legal.
Tamiya part number 53792 universal shaft and 54477 universal drive cup is legal for the
front only.
Tamiya part number 54550 TT02 3X18MM STEP SCREW 2PCS is allowed.
Any servo horn or servo saver is allowed
Stock hardware may be changed from the kit self-tapping to machine screw with the
exception of the step screws (shoulder screws).
Larger foam or TPU bumpers that fit the body better are legal.
No weight may be added.
The ESC and receiver must be mounted on the right side of the car. No electronics in
the battery tray.
