About this Event
High School Libraries Workshop
Join us for a community and connection-filled one-day event at Saint Mary's College in Moraga, CA. This workshop is designed for middle school and high school library workers who want a day away to connect with peers and share innovative ideas to enhance their library's impact.
Enjoy ample time to catch up during the continental breakfast and taco bar lunch. Share and learn about today's library trends and best practices over coffee and snacks.
Gather with us to engage in conversations around school libraries supporting mandated curricular initiatives; AI tools; building community as new library workers; the art of makerspaces; and making videos Gen Z will love. Listen as students reflect on research skills and gaps. Wind down the day with follow-up roundtables and a little bit of unconferencing.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER HERE, even if they’ve already filled out the interest form earlier. The registration fee is $50 and covers the cost of food and beverages. Registration opens on Nov 18, 2024 and closes on Jan 20, 2025.
Parking on campus costs $5 for the day and can be done ahead of time via The Park Smarter app (available for iOS and for Android), Soda Center meter #SMC-04, or via text (text PAY to 77747, zone SMC); our campus is also accessible from BART via public transit or bike. More information will be shared in advance of the workshop date.
