About this Event
Second-year and graduate studies (MSc, MEng & PhD) USask Engineering students will be welcomed into their disciplines by alumni, department heads, faculty members, senior students, and industry leaders. The Hard Hat Ceremony features a colorful display of hard hats representing the engineering disciplines. Reception to follow for students to celebrate their newly chosen discipline.
Students may invite family and friends to attend the event by purchasing tickets ($10 each). Please note that students and guests will be seated separately during the main program.
Hard Hat Ceremony Timeline:
- Doors open at 6:30 PM (Hall A, Prairieland Park)
- Ceremony begins at 7:00 PM
- Reception to follow the ceremony

ATTENTION GRADUATE STUDENTS: The Hard Hat Ceremony is for graduate studies students (MSc, MEng and PhD) who are in their first year of studies.
ATTENTION ENGINEERING ALUMNI: Thanks to the Engineering Advancement Trust, all engineering alumni are welcome to attend the event at no cost. If you are an engineering alumni who is also a parent/guest, please register yourself as an alumni. You can enjoy upfront reserved seating with fellow alumni and are invited to place hard hats upon students' heads within the program.
