Join us for the 2025 GTI North West Open Championships! All ITF-Style taekwondo clubs and associations are welcome to take part. Minimum rank of yellow-tag (9th kup) is required to participate.
Doors open at 9:00am for a prompt 9:30am start.
Events will include:
• Patterns
• Point-stop sparring (for yellow/green belt, 9th-5th kup, under 18s only)
• Continuous sparring (for all other juniors and all adults)
• Junior tag team sparring (register & pay on the day; £15 cash only).
We offer fully matted areas and high-quality medals, as well as:
• Junior categories separated by age group, as well as by height in sparring for age 13 and under, weight for age 14-17.
• Separate divisions for black belt veterans (where numbers allow, age 40+).
• Separate patterns categories for different black belt grades.
• Fair judging of sinewave and non-sinewave patterns.
• FREE entry for all spectators!
Enter online by Sunday 23rd March. Late entries will be accepted until Thursday 27th March, but will incur a £5 surcharge.

If you'd like to help out by officiating, please register online by clicking 'Register Referee' and selecting your level of experience.
This event will also be an opportunity for black belt competitors from all associations to collect ranking points for the 2025/26 Competitor of the Year awards.

Insurance:
If your current organisation does not support you by extending your existing insurance cover for external events, then we can offer liability and no-fault personal accident cover at a cost of £5 per entrant. This will cover you for all GTI events until the end of this year. If this insurance is required then it can be arranged on the day by visiting the admin desk.
