OVERVIEW

Explore & photograph one of the most unique National Parks in the country, and one of our all-time favorite places to photograph! We'll be exploring The Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve for 4 days and 3 nights, with unfettered access to one of the most spectacular landscapes in Colorado. With the massive sand dunes, vast valley floor, and the surrounding Sangre De Cristo mountain range as our backdrop, we'll be photographing this amazing landscape during early morning and late afternoon sessions, then come nightfall, we photograph starry skies. Your workshop fee includes Great Sand Dunes park entrance and day use vehicle fees, all amazing catered meals & snacks, photography instruction, critique and excursions.

This workshop is the perfect combination of landscape and outdoor portrait photography in the most unique national park in Colorado.

While we strive to keep to our itinerary so that you can plan for your trip, the itinerary and times are subject to change at the discretion of the workshop staff & instructors. This allows us to be spontaneous during our workshops, with so many amazing photo & wellness opportunities that will arise!

DETAILS

A WORD ABOUT FITNESS

We will be doing a considerable amount of walking & hiking, primarily on the dunes (in sand), and if Medano Creek is flowing, through 1-5 inches of water to access the dunefields. The highest dunes are 800ft tall, and while we may not be hiking to the highest point, we will be doing a lot of uphill walking on the dunes to get to the ideal photo locations. Please remember hiking in sand is more strenuous than hiking on dirt trails, so please consider your health and fitness level when booking this workshop. A medical waiver/release will need to be signed as a condition of the workshop attendance.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

• All photography instruction & excursions, photo critique sessions.

• 4 days/3 nights Great Sand Dunes Park entrance fees

• Meals: 3 dinners, 2 lunches, 3 breakfasts, 3 to-go light breakfast snacks. Dietary restrictions & food allergies CAN be accommodated!

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED

• Your travel to and from Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve near Mosca, Colorado.

• Optional Lodging - 3 nights lodging at Great Sand Dunes Lodge, Standard Room $695 single occupancy, or 3 nights RV spots with electrical hookup (no showers) for $150 per spot for the entire workshop.

• Snacks, alcohol & beverages other than water and those that are included in the meals.

• Camping tents and other equipment - We can provide upon request for additional fees.

• Photo and/or video equipment

LODGING

We will be camping in Pinon Flats Campground, Group Site B. This will give us all day & night access to the dunes for the many photo opportunities that will arise. This is a developed campground with flush toilets facilities right next to the campsite. **This site is for tent camping only. Pull-behind pop-up trailers and RVs are not allowed at the group site.** Also available near the lodge are RV spots with electrical hookup (no showers) for $125 per spot for the entire workshop.

$100 EARLY BIRD discount available

$50 discount for attendees of any previous David Lynn Photography class.

$50 Refer A Friend - $50 off your tuition when a friend you refer books a spot.

PAYMENT TERMS

$300 non-refundable* deposit is required to reserve a spot in the Great Sand Dunes Workshop.

Final payment of $975 is due in full

Final Payments are invoiced and paid online.

All discounts are taken off the final payment.

If client cancels their reservation in the Workshop:

within 30 days, David Lynn Photography retains 100% of payments made.

within 60 days, David Lynn Photography retains 50% of payments made.

within 90 days, David Lynn Photography retains 25% of payments made.

before 90 days prior to workshop, all payments are returned.

David Lynn Photography reserves the right to cancel, reschedule, or rearrange the itinerary of a workshop for any reason, including, but not limited to: insufficient attendee booking, instructor illness, hotel closures or cancellations, inclement weather, and random acts of nature. In the event of Workshop full cancellation, David Lynn Photography will refund all payments made, and thereby be released of any other cancellation liability. Payments made can also be saved as a credit to use towards any other new or rescheduled workshop.

A minimum of 4 attendees is required for the trip to remain scheduled. If less than 4 people register for the workshop by 3 months prior to the workshop, the workshop date will be canceled/rescheduled and all deposits and payments can be refunded.

David Lynn Photography reserves the right to cancel a workshop for any reason, including but not limited to: insufficient attendee booking, instructor illness, hotel closures or cancellations, inclement weather, and random acts of nature. A minimum of 3 attendees are required for the workshop to remain scheduled. If the minimum is not met, the workshop may be cancelled and/or rescheduled, and all payments will be returned. Alternatively, payments can be retained by David Lynn Photography and the client may use them as a credit to use toward a new or rescheduled workshop.

WAIVERS & INSURANCE

Workshop guests are required to sign a waiver of liability releasing David Lynn Photography from any damage & personal injury liability while participating in the workshop and related activities.

Purchasing Travel Insurance is highly recommended for each participant. Ideally your travel insurance will cover personal medical expenses, personal liability, lost or stolen luggage, and damaged camera equipment.

PHOTO RELEASES

David Lynn Photography reserves the right to photograph and/or film the workshop events, its participants, and locations, and use the material for marketing and promotional purposes including, but not limited to, social media, websites, and blogs.
