About this Event
REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
As a reminder, registration sells out quickly! Please read the following before going through the registration process, as there are many important facets to this registration.
To begin, select the appropriate ticket type for your girl(s):
- GT Full Session,
- GT Partial or Full Scholarship,
- GT Youth Leader,
- Support the GT Girls.
*The "Support the GT Girls" ticket is available for those who would like to contribute more than the registration payment and help us continue to provide this impactful program to the community!
If you are registering multiple girls, please select multiple tickets; you will be able to enter individual information for each girl during checkout.
Youth Leaders have been selected to meet our criteria for their experience in the program, and leadership skills. GT girls' parents will be contacted individually and can register with the Youth Leader ticket type.
All registered girls will receive a GT athletic shirt and water bottle.
A motivation statement written by your girl is required for registration. This is a short statement describing why your girl wants to be in GT and what she hopes to gain from the program. The motivation statements help coaches create a positive learning environment for all, and are a helpful tool for the girls on challenging days.
Girls have the option to register for one, two, or all three of the weekly practice days. We strongly encourage girls to try all three. *If girls do not show up to practice the first two weeks, their spot will be released to girls on the waitlist.
MONDAYS: Rock Climbing, 3-4:30pm at the Stonetree Climbing Center.
TUESDAYS: Running/X-Training + Educational Lesson, 4-6pm at Girls Thrive Headquarters (GTHQ).
THURSDAYS: Mountain Biking, 4-6pm at various locations including Centennial Park and Old Shooting Range Trail Head. *Bikes and gear are available to borrow. These are available on a first come, first served basis.
No experience in any particular sport is required for registration. We all learn together and encourage each other. Parents will receive a full schedule of activities and locations before the start of the session.
BONUS! Registrants for this spring session will get a free entry to the Governer's Cup annual 5K!
WAITLIST: If the ticket type you are wanting is sold out, please click on the button to be added to the waitlist. We will be in touch with you as soon as possible. If there is any movement in registration, we will contact you ASAP.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all girls currently in grades 6 through 12.
COST: $150 for 1, 2, or 3 participation days.
Scholarships are available to those in need. Select the partial or full scholarship ticket. Inside the registration form it will ask you for a short statement why you need it. If you request a partial scholarship, payment must be made via credit card through this online payment system.
GEAR is available at no cost to anyone who needs it! GT bikes and helmets are available to use on a first come, first served basis during the session.
LOCATION: Our headquarters are located at the First Presbyterian Church at 535 N Ewing St. When practice includes cross training or mountain biking, the locations will vary (such as a park, trail head, or venue), so be sure to sign up with Team Snap for the reminders.
SAFETY: We are committed to providing a safe and positive environment for every girl. Our volunteer coaches have had background checks, most are First Aid and CPR certified, and all are passionate about our mission. Please let us know if you have any questions or need to update us with any health concerns that your daughter has!
