Join us for the 22nd annual Frank Sargeson Memorial Lecture on Saturday, 11 October at the University of Waikato!We're thrilled to welcome esteemed poet Chris Tse as our guest speaker. His lecture ‘Imaginatively true: Poetry, personal mythology and legacy’ will explore the tension between personal mythology and legacy, drawing from his writing career to date and his time as New Zealand’s thirteenth Poet Laureate.
Sargeson Prize: Don’t miss the announcement of the winners of New Zealand’s biggest short story award, the 2025 Sargeson Prize. This year the competition attracted more than 1,400 entries and is judged by Elizabeth Knox.
