About this Event
May 9 & 10 2024
Our event will begin with a traditional opening at sunrise followed by two days of knowledge sharing sessions. This is an opportunity to learn how Indigenous knowledge systems are diverse, unique and connected to the land. While education conferences typically provide educators with pedagogical strategies and resources, this gathering focuses on providing a glimpse into the beauty of Indigenous knowledges and cultures. Most of what you will experience here will not be permitted to be replicated in the classroom as it is meant to provide you with an experience in order to deepen your own personal understanding of Indigenous education and supporting Indigenous students. This is also an opportunity to recharge, connect with the land and converse with other educators.
