Ring in the New Year at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Parks with the “2025 First Day Hike”. This annual tradition is a great way to start off the new year.COME EARLY! The park Visitor Center will open an hour before the guided hike begins for selling 2025 annual passes. Hot chocolate and coffee will be served inside the Visitor Center next to a roaring, warm fire. Hikers are to dress appropriately for the weather. Trails may be muddy and/or snow covered; tall hiking boots are recommended.
Participants are encouraged to arrive early before the official hike kick-off commences at 1 pm. The trail length will go over beautiful rolling hills and some forested areas. In the event of adverse weather, the trail route will be shortened.
As always with all of our hikes be sure to bring out the whole family for the first monthly hike for 2025 at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. It's always great fun in North Dakota State Parks. #ndlegendary #firstdayhike #ringinthenewyear #visitmandan
Event is FREE with a ND State Parks Annual Pass, or $7 vehicle entrance fee at the entrance to the state park. Don't have a ND State Parks Annual Pass, you can make that purchase online or at the hike.
