Challenge your Scouts to deliver first aid to “real” patients in a realistic and safe environment!A TEAM of 3-4 Scouts from your unit will visit four stations where they’ll be presented with various scenarios requiring them to assess the situation and deliver the appropriate first aid care.
BE PREPARED to treat patients with shock, burns, sprains, cuts, bruises, broken bones, hypothermia, snake bites, dehydration, choking, not breathing, stroke, and/or a heart attack.
TWO Skillset Tracks
- Basic track - focus on first aid skills learned for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class ranks.
- Advanced track - focus on first aid skills learned for First Aid merit badge; one scenario will include a car accident that will include multiple patients and a fire.
Who Should Attend - Scouts BSA Scouts, Venturers and Explorers in teams of 3-4 youth.
Adult and youth volunteers are needed to serve as patients, 911 dispatchers and instructors.
