2025 Fall Native Plant Sale! šæš±š¾šŖ“šš¦š¦š¦āā¬We welcome you to our 2025 Fall Plant Sale!
We will be selling wildflowers, grasses, fruiting plants, and more!
All plants will come as plugs. Once again, we will be selling Black Gold Composted Cow Manure! Root bags will also be available to purchase. It is a great time to plant in the fall as plants can put time on getting their roots in the ground. In the spring, you'll have gorgeous flowers!
Examples of plants we are selling include Beach Plum, Cardinal Flower, Coastal Plain Joe-Pye W**d, Flowering Raspberry, Little Bluestem, New Jersey Tea, Ostrich Fern, Virginās Bower, and Wild Bergamot!
All of our native plant varieties are straight species, meaning that no cultivars will be sold. It has been found that cultivars often do not have the same benefits to wildlife that straight species do. Our focus on native species will help our native pollinators, increase biodiversity, and conserve our native plants and animals, among other benefits.
Research has shown that even the addition of a few native plants in an otherwise exotic garden can act as habitat āislandsā that could be the difference between struggling and thriving for our local ecosystems. Thereās not necessarily a need to rip out our beloved tulips, daffodils, or other non-native ornamentals, as long as we can dedicate a piece of the garden to native varieties. Some natives that we are providing are also great alternatives to non-native Forsythia, ornamental grasses, cultivated roses, and cultivated Clematis. If you would like more information about why native plants are important, please check out our Resources page under āPlantsā and āPollinatorsā.
If you are curious to learn about the plants native to Massachusetts and the Northeast, please, go to masspollinatornetwork.org and go to their Resources > Plants > scroll down and click Plants native to this region. This Google sheet is from Massachusetts Pollinator Networkās website, created by Amy Meltzer and Heidi Dollard, and provides a comprehensive list of plants, blooming period, sunlight, moisture, and more!
