Join us for a fun and family-friendly river cleanup on April 19, 2025! Help make a difference by cleaning up the banks and bottom of the Spokane River—a great way to volunteer, get some exercise, and connect with others who care about our community. Each year for Earth Day, we remove about 8,000 pounds of trash from High Bridge and People’s Park, preventing litter from polluting our river, harming fish and wildlife, and breaking down into harmful microplastics.
We will kick off at 10AM and be in the park until about 1PM—feel free to come and go as you like! Bags, gloves, and a limited number of pickers will be provided. Once you have your supplies, you can choose where you’d like to clean up throughout the area.
What to Bring and Wear:
- Wear sturdy walking shoes and dress for the weather.
- Bring sunscreen, gloves, and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated while you work.
Let’s work together to protect and restore the Spokane River! We can’t wait to see you there.
