About this Event
I'm pleased to announce the 3rd Annual Dianna Shuster Tough-as-Nails Alcatraz Swim.
The tentative timeline (subject to minor adjustment based on the test swim) is:
5:00 a.m. - check-in
5:40 a.m. - check-in closes and (fully dressed out and ready to swim) wait-listed swimmers check-in as space permits
NOTE for registered swimmers: if you do not check in by 5:40 a.m. your spot is forfeited - no exceptions - be on time, please
5:55 a.m. - swimmer briefing in the lower boat house
6:10 a.m. - depart for our swimmer boats (Bravo & Hyperfish) at Hyde Street Pier
6:30 a.m. - depart for Alcatraz
6:45 a.m. - arrive at Alcatraz and get support boats in position
7:00 a.m. - spalsh
8:45 - 9:00 a.m. - breakfast once the lead pilot signs-off on all boats cleaned and put away
All swimmers must be members of USMS (the link to join or renew is Join or Renew with USMS | U.S. Masters Swimming).
All swimmers must be members of the South End Rowing Club.
All swimmers must wear a yellow swim cap.
There are no refunds.
