Annual Dachshund Dash & Raffles on Sat. Sept 27th 2025 at 3:00pm Rain or Shine. No refunds.

Registration fees donated to Washington County Humane Society
Handlers release Dachshund at the Start Line and run to handler at the Finish Line. Heats are arranged by age categories. Owners with multiple dogs in the same age range can request their dogs to be in the same heat if they desire, otherwise they will be in separate heats.
No charge for entrance to Oktoberfest or for Dash spectators.
Day of Event Registration available from 12:00 Noon to 2:00pm. Cash or Check Only.

RULES of the Dash:
1. Each dog is to have one handler at the start line and one handler at the finish line.
2. Dogs must start the Dash will all paws on the ground, behind the start line. When the Dash begins, the dog is released by the handler, not tossed or thrown.
3. Handlers at the finish line must remain behind the finish line, and are not allowed to reach across the finish line. They must wait for all paws of their dog to cross the finish line.
4. If a handler reaches across the line, their dog will be disqualified.
5. All judges decisions are final.
