Come join us at the Welcome Home of Chattanooga for our annual, hybrid 6-week course, Demystifying Death!
About this Event

All are welcome! 7 NASW CEUs are also offered. Can be attended remotely or in person.

Demystifying Death intends to offer students/professionals of all types and opportunity to learn about the basics of death and dying with the goal of becoming more informed and comfortable with end of life care. In addition, attendees will gain knowledge that will assist them in dealing with their own death.

This class will engage the learner in applying concepts to their own lives as well as learning how to help others. It features a number of EOL/social work professionals (syllabus here).

Classes take place from 4:30-6:30 PM EST on consecutive Thursdays starting March 13th-April 17th.

The proceeds from this course goes towards helping Welcome Home meet our mission of creating a community of care for those who are facing serious illness or death and need safe shelter.

About Welcome Home:

All should die surrounded by love and compassionate care. We believe that everyone has purpose, and at the end of life, everyone should know that they are important and will be remembered.
We provide shelter and loving care at Welcome Home, partnering with area hospices who provide the professional medical care.
We offer the opportunity for love, grace, and forgiveness.
