Join us as we celebrate the 5th Annual Construction Con with a twist - this year’s Industry Hour will be a COMEDY SET starring your peers!
That’s right - three brave industry members are stepping into the spotlight for their “big break” at The Ranch Events Center in Loveland on Wednesday, October 15th from 3:00–4:30 PM.
Expect snacks, drinks, and plenty of laughs as we come together to celebrate the incredible people who make the region’s largest workforce development event possible year after year. The Industry Hour Comedy Set is open to all construction industry members - even if you didn’t attend the morning’s main event. Come for the connections, stay for the laughs!
Meet our Speakers:

Kayleen McCabe is a licensed contractor, TV host, and advocate for the skilled trades, best known for hosting DIY Network’s Rescue Renovation. With over 20 years of experience, she uses her platform to inspire the next generation and challenge stereotypes about vocational careers. Through her McCabe Foundation and partnerships with groups like WorldSkills and SkillsUSA, she connects students and veterans to training and opportunities in the construction industry.

Lisa Marini, CBHC, is a brain-based performance coach, author, and Learning and Development Manager for a Denver-based general contractor. Drawing on her background in construction and extensive certifications in neuroscience-based modalities, she helps individuals and organizations enhance leadership, resilience, and overall performance. Fluent in Spanish and author of The Couple’s Playbook, Lisa delivers accessible, science-driven coaching and training that unlocks human potential.

Sam Farrell is a Survey Superintendent at FCI Constructors. He was born and raised in Colorado, is a CSU Graduate (BA : Construction Management) and has been in commercial construction for roughly 7 years.

Val Williams is a healthcare planner and architect with over 25 years of experience specializing in rural, critical access, and community healthcare facilities. Based in Denver, she is accredited with the American College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA) and has presented nationally on healthcare design, project processes, and mentorship in architecture. Val is passionate about advancing healthcare environments while supporting the next generation of architects.
