Day 1: Students learn new constructions skills. Sign up for the concrete station to learn how to pour out concrete from a concrete mixing truck, learn several finishing techniques. Hands on training! Day 2: Students, together with local contractors, help build sheds.
The sheds will be donated to local disabled veterans. A ceremony will be held honoring the veterans and celebrating the students for their hard work.
This event is for anyone 17 and older at any skill level. The event is put on by the ISU Continuing Education/ Workforce Training department and sponsored by numerous local businesses. Students will be fed free lunch, get free swag and tools, and the opportunity to win awards. Anyone looking for a job can introduce themselves to business owners.
