The Confluence Trash Bash is an annual clean-up of the Missouri and Mississippi watersheds, getting its name from the confluence of the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers. During the annual event, volunteers come together to help clean up the rivers, creeks, and areas surrounding them. All clean-up opportunities have a site supervisor present to provide volunteers with supplies, sign-in participants and lead them through the clean-up of the chosen site. Backcountry Hunters and Anglers will be hosting a clean up site on Bellfontaine Conservation Area. This is a great opportunity to improve our public lands and waters around the Saint Louis area!
After the clean up, join us at The Audubon Center at Riverlands for the Watershed Picnic and Festival from 11am - 2pm to celebrate our efforts and hard work! The festival will be hosted by Open Space STL, The Audubon Center at Riverlands, The Army Corps of Engineers, and Leave No Trace, and will feature free food, drinks, and activities for the whole family!
WHEN: 9:00am, Saturday, April 12th. Volunteer check-in will begin at 8:45 am.
WHERE: Bellfontaine Conservation Area, Country Ln, St. Louis, MO 63136
WHAT TO WEAR: Hat, Sturdy close-toed shoes or waterproof boots. Dress for the weather. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.
WHAT TO BRING: A filled water bottle - we recommend reusable! Insect repellant, sunscreen, and sturdy gloves, if you prefer your own.

POST-CLEANUP PICNIC: We want to thank our volunteers by inviting you to a post-cleanup picnic. Join us in celebrating Confluence Trash Bash volunteer efforts featuring hot dogs, soda, and a Trash Contest!
