We are planning to have a BBQ and add a few different “competitions” into the evening.Scent Work “exterior search”, which will be open to:
- “existing sniffers” (who have had training in scent work) and will judged for time, and we will also have a
- “newbies” category, where we will have a short introduction lesson for anyone wanting to try their nose at scent work (well their dog’s nose), this will be judged on enthusiasm for sniffing.
Trick Dog Trial – this will be good practice for anyone entering the NYE trial at Gawler, but also a chance to have some fun with your dogs (and can be done on or off lead depending on your dog), we will run a
- “Trial” category (tricks as per the ANKC Rules for the Conduct of TRICK DOG TESTS”), and a
- “freestyle” category, this can be any trick of your choice.

We will also have a couple of our “Traditional” competitions and games such as:
Best Dressed (for those dogs who like to dress-up)
Musical Sits
Best Recall
We are hoping this will be a fun night and maybe tempt you into dipping your paws into the world of Dog Sports (all activities and games are optional and can be done on-lead or off-lead, and fun is the main purpose of the night).
