This is the 3rd Carp Fishing Classic that we have conducted and all entries are taken online via the Trybooking.com website under the 2025 Carp Fishing Classic search banner.This event is open to all keen anglers and fishing is ONLY permitted in the waterways of the Hopkins River and the Mount Emu Creek. European Carp are predominantly a freshwater species, so anywhere that you can access the freshwater sections of these two waters you'll stand a chance of catching something. All Carp are to be presented intact/whole to the Weigh Master prior to 12noon on Sunday 13th April at the Warrnambool Angling Club in Otway Road, Warrnambool. Fishing can commence from 4pm on Friday 11th April. All legal fishing methods MUST be adhered to and the Weigh Master has the final say on any disputes. A BBQ and drinks will be available from the Warrnambool Angling Club members. The Heaviest Carp Overall will receive the $1000 cash prize and there are several $500 & $250 prize categories for Adults /Junior winners.
