About this Event

A distinguished graduate of the Catholic University of Chile, Axel Christensen is the Chief Investment Strategist Latin America for BlackRock. He is also a member of the Latin America Executive Committee. Prior to joining BlackRock in 2009, Axel held important executive positions in Cruz del Sur Inversiones, Moneda Asset Management, AFP Cuprum, Citicorp, McKinsey and Banco de Santiago.

In terms of public service, he actively served as a member of the Advisory Council on Capital Reform for Chile's Finance Ministry from 2008-2018. He was also a member of the Presidential Committee for Pension Reform in 2006, as well as an advisor to the World Bank and to the Finance Ministry and Securities regulator within Chile.

Welcoming the New Year, Axel will be sharing his outlook on the economic and business climate for 2025. On a personal level, he will share with us how his Catholic faith has guided his stellar finance career, and how he has tried to maintain integration between this faith, and the high excellence demands required by his business vocation.
