Date is set! Route is going to be updated (hoping Big Grove finally opens + might switch things up to hit some different places).$5 to venmo or cash unless you drive a couple legs. This covers gas for my drivers & I usually get pizzas somewhere on the route.
THE BASICS:
1. DROP IN/DROP OUT
This is a choose your own adventure run! If you don't want to do the whole thing, that's fine. You can run 1 leg, choose a few to hit your mileage goal for the day, or run the whole thing!
2. NO DROP
We wait for EVERYONE before we head on to the next stop. Faster runners will have longer times at the breweries. I'm hoping to keep stops to <20 minutes from the last arrival.
3. DRINKING
Plan ahead. We want the stops to be relatively quick, especially later in the day. Drinking while running is a different beast if you've never done it. Share a glass, get a sample size, & maybe avoid the high % beers. Getting sick and/or not being able to run safely because you've had too much are NOT okay & I will pull you from the run.
4. NUTRITION/HYDRATION
We will have water & ice available in the cars (pending driver situation) & should be able to get more at the breweries. PLEASE make sure to eat a good breakfast/early lunch & bring your own nutrition/electrolytes/water. I STRONGLY recommend wearing a pack, waist belt, or handheld depending on your distance goals. It's a long day & not fueling properly will get you into trouble. Some of the breweries have food options, but keep in mind these will be quick stops.
5. DIRECTIONS
GPX route will be posted in the comments once finalized. I strongly recommend you download the route to your watch.
6. FUN
This is a fun day with other runners, not a race. Make the most of it. Get to know someone new by running a leg with them. Take photos. Enjoy it! Look after your fellow runners.
7. DRIVERS
This whole thing becomes a self supported run if I don't have people to drive. If you can drive some (or all) of the route, please let me know!
BONUS: If you drive 2 or more legs, you don't have to pay the $5 fee!
8. BIKERS
I know some of you don't want to run it. If you want to bike the route, feel free to join us along the way.
