About this Event
The Beyond Film School Challenge is created to provide opportunity to all Beyond Film School Alumni to gain experience in a film role they aspire to be in a safe environment with the guidance of a Film industry professional.
And this year we were happy to invite ReelWorks Alumni to join the Film Challenge teams.
We are so excited to come back for a 3rd year! Last year exceeded all our expectations and the short films that were produced impressed us!
You 6 teams this year were comprised of folks who never have filled key film positions at this capacity before!
They pulled together all their resources and made a short film in two weeks with no money!
2025 Film Challenge Theme: "Seeing the Other Side"
Required Elements: a hug, a tracking shot, and a picture frame

Team Greenwood Cinema Rentals: Romance
Team Lightbulb Rentals: Mystery
Team ProCamUSA: Super-hero
Team Matria Rentals: Slice of Life
Team Eastern Effects: Dramedy
Team A-Frame Rentals: Psychological Romance
Joining the screening are 3 amazing fillmakers that will be our judges for the film. Each film will recieve feedback for their film. They will also be scoring each film to determine who wins best film!

Winners will recieve:
- One-year free licensing + personalized demo of Saturation (Innovative Film Production management and finance software)
- $250 credit for use of Set Hero software

Best Direction
Best Assistant Director (Awarded by Amber M Sherman - Founder of Beyond Film School and DGA Assistant director. She visited each set and observed each AD) The winner will recieve a Premium Year subsription to Cinapse!
