Berniece Collis, a Berkeley County native, has had a distinguished career in education, business, and community service. After earning degrees from Shepherd University and West Virginia University, she worked as a Special Learning Disabilities Resource Teacher, earning multiple teaching awards. She later served eight years on the Berkeley County Board of Education.
Since 1988, she and her husband have co-owned Minghini’s General Contractors, expanding its operations while maintaining ethical business practices. She has been deeply involved in Scouting for over 60 years and has held leadership roles in Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Berniece has also played a significant role in community service, including leadership in the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, United Way, and various local arts and civic organizations.
