Please join us on Bainbridge Island, WA for the 2025 Bainbridge Island All-Day Sacred Harp Singing. We'll have one full day of singing from the Sacred Harp (1991 Revision) with a "dinner on the grounds" potluck around noon.Admission is FREE; loaner books are available. All are welcome and no prior experience is necessary.
Registration begins at 9:30am, though you're welcome to come and go as you please throughout the day. Singing will go from 10:00am until 3pm-ish with a break for dinner around noon. Since very few singers actually live on the island, please plan to bring something to contribute to the potluck if at all possible.
A post singing social will be held at the Kevin + Kim's property.
COVID REGULATIONS:
Please test prior to arriving.
TRANSPORTATION:
If you plan on coming to the island from Seattle, you'll need to be on the Saturday 8:55am ferry, from Coleman Dock in Seattle, to arrive at the singing on time.
If coming to the island from south of Seattle, it will most likely be fastest to drive onto the island from the west side Agate Pass Bridge.
HOUSING:
There will be primitive camping available at Kevin + Kim's place. There is very limited housing available in various forms of luxury. Housing is first come first served. Please email [email protected] for housing requests.
You might also be interested in staying overnight in Seattle with a local Seattle singer and ferrying across.
Send all questions and suggestions to the chairman, Kevin Barrans: [email protected]

What is Sacred Harp singing? This form of music-making has been practiced throughout the country since its origins in New England in the late 1700s. This is community singing -- there are no auditions, rehearsals, or performances. Most of the songs in our book have sacred lyrics but no particular religious or political philosophy is embraced, required, or endorsed by the group. We simply sing together. You can sing, hum along, or just listen... but we hope you’ll sing!
More information on local singing opportunities, including our regular monthly singings, is available in the "Seattle Sacred Harp" Facebook group.
