About this Event
After the successful 2024 event that brought over seventy scholars and researchers together for a series of presentations and discussions about teaching and research into networks and social media networks we are returning for a second year.
Social media research is a critical for understanding the impact of powerful communication technology on society. Using new tools, scholars can now more easily collect, analyze, visualize and report on patterns in social media. These tools are helping document and explore the landscape of social computation and teach the core concepts of network analysis.
The event is scheduled for 4 hours starting at 11am in Tokyo and Seoul on January 31st, 2025 via Zoom.
The event will include talks from Veronica Espinoza, Han Woo Park, Mohd Ali Samsudin, Leslie Tatch Kawasaki, Marc Smith, and Irwan Dwi Arianto.
In addition, we invite applications for presentations on research and teaching into social media networks. Presenters will receive a certificate documenting their contribution to the event.
