About this Event
Asante (Swahili) / ah∙sun∙teh / Thank You
The Asante Celebration is a biannual fundraising gala hosted by Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle—and it’s unlike any other. Rooted in deep accountability to our community, this event is a reflection of our values: intentional, communitycentered, and unapologetically Black.
We are proud to partner primarily with all Black, Baltimore-based vendors and work closely with majority Black-led sponsoring organizations. “Asante” means “thank you” in Swahili, and this celebration is our heartfelt expression of gratitude. It’s a time for us to honor the work of LBS, celebrate our collective progress, and recognize the vital support of our community and partners. Your belief and support of our mission is the foundation of our impact.
