The Tour
The Ardsley Park Chatham Crescent Garden Club welcomes you to our Spring Tour of six exceptional homes and gardens, located conveniently in the immediate vicinity of Kavanaugh Park, the premier park of the Ardsley Park neighborhood, in beautiful, historic Savannnah Georgia!
All homes have been carefully selected for their tasteful interiors and lovely furnishings that reflect the style of each house and its owners. Knowledgable, trained docents will guide you through each home, providing you with history and anecdotes of the home and its significance in the neighborhood. Outside, lush gardens and plantings will delight your senses and convey that "Spring is in the air"!
In addition, you will be able to enjoy the new fountain erected in Kavanaugh Park by the Ardsley Park Chatham Crescent Garden Club, in partnership with the City of Savannah, called The Garden Keeper. The fountain is dedicated to the memory of Mary Robinson Myrick, the founder of the garden club 50 years ago, and has become a focal point of the neighborhood with many weddings now being held in the park!
For those unfamilar with the neighborhood, it was designed and developed in the early 1900s by Harry and William Lattimore, and is the first automotive-based, surburban neighborhood in Savannah. It includes numerous 1-acre square parks, laid out in a strict grid on either side of Abercorn Street, and was inspired by the Oglethorpe Plan, similar to downtown Savannah. It's magical!

Proceeds from the Tour of Homes
All money raised from the Tour of Homes goes back into the community through civic improvements, beautification, tree planting, education, and conservation.
