Join us on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at SCC’s Spartanburg (Giles) Campus at the Tracy J. Gaines Building for an evening of inspiration and discovery. Refreshments will be served from 5:30–6:15 PM, followed by a special presentation at 6:30 PM: “Parris in France: Revelations about the Intensive Cultivation of Plants.”For 16 years, SCC’s Horticulture Department has hosted Arboretum Adventures, beginning with Kevin Parris’s 2009 trip to China with Magnolia Society International. This year, Kevin returns from France and Belgium, where he explored some of Europe’s most stunning gardens. From Paris to Nantes, Normandy, and into Belgium, he’ll share insights into applied horticulture, lessons from abroad, and reflections on what SCC’s horticulture program has learned over the years.
