2025 Annual Member Meeting

GreenStar members, please join us at GreenStar Food Co+op Annual Member Meeting, held at the Ithaca Farmer's Market. Co+op members are invited to:

• Enjoy a complimentary buffet dinner* catered by GreenStar, plus live dinner music by local musician, Dennis Winge.
• Reports from GreenStar's General Manager, Jeff Bessmer and Council President, Marilyn Chase.
• Presentation by Leah Madsen of Equal Exchange. The bright red Equal Exchange logo is very familiar to GreenStar members. But what goes on behind the scenes at this iconic worker-owner coop and how do fair small farmer supply chains for coffee and bananas actually work? Leah Madsen from Equal Exchange will give a brief overview of Equal Exchange's founding in 1986, the structures and values behind their alternative trade model, and the ways that Equal Exchange, farmer organizations and consumer food coops continue to operate a democratic trade model that puts people over profit.
• Meet fellow Co+op members and participate together in an engaging activity.
