Come spend an evening with the Mississippi Headwaters Audubon Society at the Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve. Join us for our annual celebration as we celebrate another year of meaningful work, community connection, and the Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve. Since the June 21 storm, we have faced big challenges, but there has also been real progress, and we are excited to share it with you!
This will be the first scheduled event at the preserve since the storm. You can:
-Hear about the progress we have made toward reopening the preserve.
-Learn about our plans for the future.
-Take a short boat ride with Sam to see the brand-new Forest Megaphone.
-Get a behind-the-scenes look at the Jeep Shed renovation in progress.
Schedule
5:00 PM – Arrive and visit
5:30 PM – Dinner
6:00 PM – Program with a few words and reflections
Everyone is welcome at this event including MHAS members, volunteers, donors, friends of the preserve, Young Naturalist families, adults, and students. Bring a friend, bring your curiosity, and join us for good food, great company, and an evening under the forest canopy at the Neilson Spearhead Nature Preserve.
