2025 Alcohol Free for 40 | Labs + Metrics [Monroe]

It’s that time of the year! The Ochsner Eat Fit team’s annual Alcohol Free for 40 event. The challenge is simple: Give up all alcohol between Mardi Gras and Easter. Make it your own self experiment with pre- and post-challenge metrics to identify the impact that 40 days alcohol-free has on your mind, body and spirit.

The Alcohol Free For 40 (AF40) Challenge includes labs, body composition analysis, weight, blood pressure, and before-and-after photos ($450 value) provided by Ochsner & the Eat Fit team.

Availability is limited to the first 100 participants to sign up; registration fee is $49 (plus tax) per person.

LABS: will be onsite at Ochsner Health System – LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center | 4864 Jackson St. Monroe, LA 71202 in the lab at scheduled appointment times on Thursday, March 6th, 2025 (Thursday after Mardi Gras).

**MYOCHSNER: All appointment information and lab results will be available to view on your MyOchsner account. If you are not already signed up for MyOchsner and need an activation code, please let our team know.

Please also note that registering for the #AFF40 program on this site does not automatically schedule an appointment based on the "preferred appointment time" that you choose. We appreciate your patience as our team manually places your orders and schedules your appointments. Please allow our team up to one week to schedule your appointment. Once our team has scheduled your appointment based on your "preferred appointment time" you will see it reflected in your MyOchsner.**

BODY COMPOSITION, BLOOD PRESSURE, + BEFORE & AFTER PHOTOS will take place at the Monroe Athletic Club | 3801 Chauvin Ln, Monroe, LA 7120 on March 6th, 2025 (Thursday after Mardi Gras). We ask that participants try to do these metrics immediately after your scheduled lab appointment in order to stagger the arrival of participants.

** Please be aware that the InBody machine will only be available for AFF40 metrics on March 6th and April 17th, 2025.**

PLEASE NOTE: In order for Ochsner team to place orders + schedule your AFF40 labs, please complete registration in advance by submitting the following information as prompted by Eventbrite, including Full Name, Gender, Race, Date of Birth, Physical Address, best Email Address & Phone. All participant information is kept confidential.

WHEN:

• Pre-challenge metrics: Thursday, March 6th, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
• Post-challenge metrics: Thursday, April 17th, 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM

WHERE:

• LABS will take place at Ochsner Health System – LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center | 4864 Jackson St. Monroe, LA 71202.
• OTHER METRICS (Body Composition, Blood Pressure, and Photos) will take place at the Monroe Athletic Club | 3801 Chauvin Ln, Monroe, LA 71202.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

1. After EventBrite registration, you will receive a confirmation email from EventBrite. Our team manually places your lab orders and schedules your appointment in the MyOchsner system. Please note that registering for the #AFF40 program on this website does not automatically schedule an appointment based on the "preferred appointment time" that you choose. We appreciate your patience as our team manually places your orders and schedules your appointments. Once our team has scheduled your appointment based on your "preferred appointment time" you will see it reflected in your MyOchsner.**

2. On the day of your lab appointment, please check-in as you would for a normal lab appointment at Ochsner Health System – LSU Health Shreveport Monroe Medical Center | 4864 Jackson St. Monroe, LA 71202. Fasting is not required.

3. After having labs drawn, blood pressure, and photos taken, please visit the Monroe Athletic Club | 3801 Chauvin Ln, Monroe, LA 7120 for your body composition. You will receive body composition and blood pressure results immediately. Before and after photos will be emailed to you at the end of the challenge.

4. Your lab results will be available to view on your MyOchsner account. If you are not already signed up for MyOchsner, let us know.
