About this Event
With Shostakovich's profound and popular Fifth Symphony opening our season alongside fresh works from our American Discovery series, we continue in December with popular favorites by Handel, Tchaikovsky, Delius and Sleigh Rides by Anderson and Delius! We're thrilled to perform with the Upper Darby HS Choir in several beautiful works. In the Spring we'll feature Irving Ludwig competition winners. In February we explore a gorgeous Dvorak symphony, the Third, and our March concert features the brilliantly virtuosic (and autumnal) Second Symphony of Edward Elgar. Introducing more exciting new American Discoveries repertoire from the Philadelphia Free Library's Fleisher Collection along the way, we end with Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony in May!
