The Greater Richmond Association for Volunteer Administrator (GRAVA) is a membership organization devoted to providing educational opportunities for, promoting the professionalism of, and strengthening the leadership of volunteer organizations and programs in the Great Richmond metropolitan area.
The membership year is August 1 through July 31.
Annual dues are $75 a year and include the following benefits:
- Breakfast Workshops: Running 90 min with refreshments provided.
- Discounted Admission to GRAVA’s Professional Development Conference
- Scholarships: Used towards professional development, trainings, classes, certifications and educational materials.
- Membership Directory and Network: Access to a GRAVA member directory to facilitate communication and partnerships. Additionally, GRAVA network can be leveraged for information, insight and referrals.
- Buddy System: Upon request, pair relatively new members to the profession with more experienced practitioners for onetime or regular problem solving sessions.

- Certification in Volunteer Administration: Assistance and support in becoming Certified in Volunteer Administration (CVA).
- Leadership Opportunities: as a peer-led entity, there are ample opportunities to serve on committees or subject matter presenter.
- Volunteer Engagement Professional of the Year: Annually awarded at conference or end-of-year social.
