The American Association of University Women (AAUW) Nevada County Branch kicks off the 2025-2026 year with a brunch on Saturday, September 20th, 9:30 – 11:30 AM at Peace Lutheran Church, 828 West Main Street, Grass Valley. This annual kick-off meeting is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about AAUW. On display will be information about the branch’s interest groups for avid book readers, hikers, gardeners, arts and crafters, world affairs students, and more. Attendees also will find out about AAUW local scholarship and national grant programs, giving attendees a snapshot view of the organization. A special highlight is a presentation by the local girls who were selected to attend the July 2025 week-long Tech Trek STEM camp at UC Davis sponsored by AAUW.
