Impounded control race tyres (those to be used for qualifying and racing on Saturday/Sunday) must be purchased via the club webshop prior to 1st April 2025 https://www.hillsoffroadrc.com/category/all-products
There is no limit on number of tyres competitors can use at this event.
Practice tyres (to be used on Friday), are also available via the club webshop but competitors are not required to purchase through the club as these will not be subject to impound conditions. There will be very limited number of tyres available for purchase at the event.
Glue utilised at this event on impounded tyres is open.
Solution to clean impounded tyres will be supplied by the club. Wash bays will be setup within the impound area with cold water, Simple Green and compressed air available for competitors to utilise. No liquids allowed to be brought in to the impound area.
Event schedule:
· 28th & 29th March 2025 – Track closed for maintenance
· 30th March to 2nd April 2024 – Track will be open for public access and open practice
· 3rd April 2025 – Track closed for maintenance and officials will be available for competitor check-in**, scrutineering and race tyre preparation in impound
· 4th April 2025 - Controlled practice scheduled* as a morning session for the 4WD Open class and an afternoon session for 2WD Open class. Officials will be available for competitor check-in**, scrutineering and race tyre preparation in impound
· 5th April 2025 - 2WD Open Race Day with IFMAR Qualifying and Finals scheduled*
· 6th April 2025 - 4WD Open Race Day with IFMAR Qualifying and Finals scheduled*
· 7th April 2025 – Rain Day
· 8th April 2025 onwards - Track will be open for public access and open practice
*Final format for the event will be released once number of entries confirmed after close of entries. The club aims to maximise time on track for all competitors working within time constraints of the day. Tentative format as per below for reference only and may change.
**Check-in, scrutineering and tyre preparation to be completed preferably on Thursday 3rd April but will also be available to complete on Friday 6th April and throughout the weekend. Note, that check-in, scrutineering and tyre preparation must be completed prior to competing in any qualifying and/or finals.

Whilst format is planned to be IFMAR qualifying with 4 rounds conducted and 3 x A-Finals and 2 x Lower Finals. This is dependant on total number of entries received due to time constraints of the day. Final format and schedule will be released after close of entries.

• A fully stocked kitchen will be onsite for the duration of the event preparing a variety of freshly made café quality food and beverages for breakfast and lunch. Menu will be released prior to the event
