The Rotary Club of Kirkland Presents:2025 - $60,000 KL Rotary Fish Derby

Fish Derby tickets will be mailed to purchaser. Each ticket requires the participant's name and cell phone number for the elimination draw. Tickets purchased two weeks prior to the event will be available for pick up at the gate Saturday morning.
Date: Saturday, March 1, 2025
Tickets: $100 each (2 fishing lines allowed per ticket)
Fishing Hours: 8am-2pm only (registration begins 6am)
Lake: Otto Lake (Culver Park)
Snowmobiles & ATV’s: Will only be permitted on the lake at participant/driver’s own risk

Raffle Rules & Regulations:
1. Tickets may not be purchased by:
a. Anyone under the age of 18. Ticket holders must be 19 years of age to enter Pub.
b. Members of the Board / Executives of the Rotary Club
c. Anyone involved in the conduct or management of the Elimination Draw and Final Big Prize Draw
d. Prize Donors
2. Elimination Draw includes $5000 Cash + $2,000 Cash Early Bird Draws. Elimination draw done at Northern College
3. Early Bird Draws: Dec 23: $1000 / Jan 8: $250 / Jan 22: $250 / Feb 5: $250 / Feb 19: $250. Early Bird draws are done live on the radio.
4. Tickets can be purchased by Cash only, or Eventbrite’s method of payment.
5. Only registered ticket holders are eligible for cash and prizes. Pub Only tickets are not eligible for any prizes.
6. Tickets will not be advertised for or sold outside of Ontario. Non-Ontario residents may purchase tickets while in Ontario and are eligible to win prizes.
7. Tickets are detachable stub type tickets. There will be three parts; Stub, Fish Derby Ticket, Elimination Draw Ticket.
8. Winning Early-Bird Draw tickets will be re-entered into the Elimination Draw held at the college.
Fish Derby Rules:
1. KL Rotary Club members and family members in their immediate households are not eligible for fishing prizes.
2. Bring photo ID & derby ticket to registration.
3. Maximum 2 lines per ticket.
4. Ticket holders can enter one (1) participant in the Kids Derby (17 yrs. & under). Kids are eligible to enter a fish in the Kids Derby ballot draw for prizes totaling $1,500.00. Every kid will receive a prize on entry to the derby.
5. Participants must have their purchased ticket stub on their person during the competition. There is a maximum of 2 lines per person/ticket holder as per provincial laws.
6. The derby begins at 8 am and will be signaled by the blow of a horn. No fishing lines are permitted in the water until that time.
7. The derby ends at 2 pm and will be signaled by an additional blow of the horn.
8. When a participant catches a fish, they must bring their live fish and their Fish Derby ticket stub to the ballot station immediately. Fish eligibility will be solely at derby official’s discretion. Fish must be live, and caught in accordance with provincial laws & these rules/regulations. Additionally: a. Fish should have no puncture holes, or evidence of tethering. b. Eyes should not be cloudy. c. If fish doesn’t swim away when released, it’s disqualified.
9. 5 x $1000 pickerel ballot draws. Bring live fish to Derby Headquarters on the ice and receive 1 ballot per live pickerel for draw.
10. 5 x $1000 pike ballot draws. Bring live fish to Derby Headquarters on the ice and receive 1 ballot per live pike for draw.
11. 10 x tagged fish worth $2,500 each. Eligible Tags will be posted at Derby Headquarters. Bring live tagged fish to Derby HQ.
12. Every 5th ticket will win a door prize donated by our sponsors.
13. Ticket stub required for entry into Elimination Draw (600 tickets printed).
14. Each registrant and participant agree to release and hold harmless the Rotary Club of Kirkland Lake and its sponsors from all claims for damages or injuries arising during the 2025 Fish Derby and Elimination Draw.
15. All registrants declare understanding and agree to the full Rules & Regulations provided at time of purchase.
