Spring has arrived! Many flowers in the yard are about to bloom. Teacher Doris would like to invite children to observe the plants near our home. What kinds of plants are there? Why do humans plant these plants? What interactions and impacts do these plants have with other insects, birds, and our environment in nature? I hopes to use interesting and vivid picture books, crafts, songs, and worksheets to help children understand different organisms and natural environments. The aim is to awaken children's curiosity and love for the environment, and more importantly, to help them understand the importance of the natural environment to humans during the course.
Students will learn the following through this series of courses:
Recognizing common garden plants near their homes.
Understanding the ecological characteristics of different plants.
Inspiring children's curiosity to observe the interaction between plants and other organisms.
Reflecting on the relationship between the environment and humans.
Age Range: Grades 1-3 (7 to 9 years old); independent learners
Group Size: 4-6 students
Dates: April 13th - June 1st; Saturday 12:30-2:00 pm, 6 sessions (Class dates: April 13th, 20th, 27th, May 11th, 18th, June 1st)
