Keep Pinellas Beautiful is excited to announce our 6th annual student summer workshop series!
The Youth Environmental Leadership Program at Weedon Island Nature Preserve is designed for High School students (rising 10th thru 12th, graduation years 2025-2027) to engage students in hands-on skill-building activities that will empower them to become environmental leaders in their community. Students in these programs will gain an understanding of environmental issues, develop skills to take action and inspire others through leadership, as well as participate in hands-on activities including cleanups and canoeing. In addition to the experience gained, these programs will serve as a great opportunity to receive community service or Bright Futures Scholarship hours.) to engage students in hands-on skill-building activities that will empower them to become environmental leaders in their community. Please note, we do require a $25 application fee to reserve your spot, but all activities at our workshops including tours, travel, and a light breakfast and snacks are included.
