About this Event
The Washington Highway Users Federation (WHUF) is a nonprofit association, focused primarily around education on transportation related matters. The organization holds an Interim Briefing every year to discuss public policies that impact transportation in Washington State. This is a great way to connect and network with a wide range of people involved in the state’s transportation system.
This is an educational event. All legislators and legislative staff are invited to attend free of charge. Please register in advance and select the Legislator/Legislative Staff option using your leg.wa.gov email address.
As the state continues to work through a variety of transportation challenges, the WHUF Interim Briefing provides a unique platform for policy makers, stakeholders, advocates and others to network, collaborate and engage on relevant transportation issues.
Below is a sneak peek of the topics that will be covered at the Interim Briefing this year:
State Revenue Forecast
As of September 2024, the Economic and Revenue Forecast Council is responsible for the development of the transportation revenue forecasts. Hear from Executive Director and Chief Economist, Dave Reich on the operating and transportation budget outlook.
