Join us for our thirteenth annual Speakers Series event! Our keynote speaker will be Larry Bradley, KPMG's Global Head of Audit. Our ethics speaker will be Dr. Jose Lineros, DFW IIA Professor of Internal Audit at the University of North Texas.
Larry Bradley is the Global Head of Audit and leads KPMG's global audit practice with more than 92,000 professionals in 143 countries. Larry has 40 years of experience with KPMG and spent several years in KPMG's Department of Professional Practice in New York and in the US Capital Markets Group based in London. He served as a member of KPMG LLP (US) and the KPMG Americas Boards of Directors and served for 10 years on the Board of Directors of Park Indemnity Limited and chaired several Board committees on those boards. Larry spent the majority of his career as a lead audit signing partner and/or the SEC Reviewing Partner on numerous Global and Fortune 500 companies in a broad array of businesses and has extensive international experience having lived, worked and travelled internationally extensively throughout his career.
Larry has a B.S. Business Administration, University of Nebraska at Omaha – Graduated Magna Cum Laude and is Licensed in New York, Connecticut, Nebraska, and Massachusetts. He is a member of the Global advisory board of Accounting for Sustainability in the UK and served as KPMG International's representative on the audit panel of the Global Public Policy Council (GPPC) and the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC). In 2005, Larry received the Outstanding Alumni Award from the College of Public Affairs and Community Service and in 2010, he received the UNO Distinguished Alumni Award from the College of Business Administration. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of Bottom Line, a Trustee of the University of Nebraska Foundation and former trustee of the KPMG LLP Foundation.
Dr. Lineros currently teaches AIS, ERP, IT Audit and Internal Audit at the University of North Texas. He previously taught MIS and computer science at UTD, TAMU-Commerce and Brookhaven. He holds a PhD in Educational Psychology, a Masters in Telecommunications from the University of Dallas, and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. His credentials include a CISA, CPA, CIA, CFE, CRISC, CSX and is a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist. He has published numerous articles in journals such as the Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting, ISACA Journal, Community College Journal of Research and Practice, Learning and Performance Quarterly and the Global eLearning Journal. Additionally, he has lectured frequently on AI, blockchain, mobile device security, Wi-Fi architecture vulnerabilities and their business implications. He has contributed IT Audit expertise on an ERP textbook and is the current president of ISACA (Information Systems and Control Association) North Texas. He currently serves as the DFW IIA Professor of Internal Audit.
A continental breakfast will be available before the speaker presentations begin, starting at 7:30 am. Speaker presentations will begin at 8:30 am. Event concludes at 12:30 pm.
Regular tickets are $100 ($120 after September 6); students attend free.
CPE credit: Two ethics and two accounting CPE credit hours approved by the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy.
