About this Event
The Texas Area Association of Reformed Baptist Churches (TAARBC) is excited to sponsor the 6th Annual TAARBC Pastors’ Conference on September 10-11, 2024 at Heritage Baptist Church in Mansfield Texas. Even though this is a conference geared towards pastors we welcome all attendees who are interested in the subject at hand. These lectures will no doubt encourage and edify the pastor and layman alike.
Our association has determined that the theme for our Pastors’ Conference from year to year will be to cover a chapter in the 2nd London Baptist Confession of Faith. Last year we covered chapter 4 in the confession, Of Creation. This year each of the lectures will address chapter 5, the doctine of divine Providence.
Our featured speakers will be James Dolezal and Jason Walter.
Dr. James Dolezal is associate professor of theology in the School of Divinity at Cairn University in Langhorne, PA and is Visiting Professor of Theology at International Reformed Baptist Seminary in Mansfield, TX. He is a graduate of The Master’s College, (BA, MA), The Master’s Seminary (MDiv), and Westminster Theological Seminary (ThM, PhD). Prior to undertaking PhD studies at Westminster Seminary, he pastored in Lethbridge, Alberta. He is the author of God without Parts: Divine Simplicity and the Metaphysics of God’s Absoluteness (Pickwick, 2011), All That Is in God: Evangelical Theology and the Challenge of Classical Christian Theism (Reformation Heritage, 2017).
Jason Walter is Pastor of Christ Reformed Baptist Church in Vista, CA. He is a graduate of Northland International University with a (BA) in Biblical Languages as well as a graduate of Westminster Seminary California and IRBS (MDiv). Jason is also a Trustee for International Reformed Baptist Seminary in Mansfield, TX.
Once again our conference will be held in conjunction with the Fall Convocation for International Reformed Baptist Seminary. Dr. Jim Renihan, President and Professor of Historical Theology at IRBS will be speaking at Convocation.
